By weaving spiritual insight with strategic structure, she began rebuilding her life and business in alignment with who she truly was — not just what she had been trained to do. It was through this process that Illume’s signature framework was born. This marked the beginning of Illume Advisory Group’s evolution into something deeper: a sanctuary for visionary leaders ready to realign their structures with their soul’s work.
Like many people, the appeal of entrepreneurship for Monique was freedom and agency over her time and work.
Illume Advisory Group LLC was founded in 2022, born from our Founder and CEO’s decision to leap from the corporate 9-to-5 into purpose-driven consulting work.
After over a decade of experience in accreditation and compliance within the health insurance industry, our earliest clients were naturally healthcare organizations—health plans, managed care organizations, hospital systems, and credentialing organizations. While this was familiar ground where Monique excelled, it was never where her passion truly lived. The work became increasingly difficult to endure—until one day, she couldn’t ignore the misalignment any longer.
When the work you’ve mastered begins to feel like a weight, it's a sign something deeper is calling. Monique realized that the misalignments she was feeling weren’t obstacles — they were guideposts. Each moment of burnout, disconnection, and stagnation became a clue, pointing toward a truer path.
Rather than bypass the discomfort, she made the bold decision to slow down and listen. She began to map the patterns, rework the routines, and restructure her internal systems — using the very same Illuminated Form framework that now supports Illume’s clients. A budding astrologer for years, Monique turned to her own natal chart for insight, uncovering energetic patterns, core strengths, and soul-level directives that had long been whispering beneath the surface.
It was time to pivot.

Our Founder's Journey
I’ve been where you are—burned out, misaligned, and questioning the path I was on. Turning inward, I leaned into astrology, herbalism, and spiritual consulting to heal myself and rebuild my life with intention. What started as a personal journey became a mission: helping visionary professionals and creatives sustain success without sacrificing their purpose, peace, or well-being. Now, I guide others through strategic and spiritual transformation—rooted in clarity, energy, and plant-based support.

2025
Ending to Begin
I bid farewell to my old chapter of consulting. Rooted deeply in my passions and purpose, today I spend my time working with individuals and business owners to heal their relationship to order and structure.
2021
The Initiation
I started a 2.5-year Spiritual Herbalism apprenticeship program that would end up changing my life forever. I could no longer hide that my passions lay elsewhere. This year was the beginning of one of the biggest transformations and transitions in my life
2022
Leaping into the Unknown
I decided to bet on myself and took the leap into entrepreneurship, leaving behind the "stability" that I once worked so hard for and craved, but that kept me feeling stifled. I launched Illume Advisory Group and began consulting with organizations across the country, leveraging my expertise in accreditation, compliance and auditing to get them in tip-top shape. During this time, I continued to add new tools to my toolbox, becoming attuned to Reiki and continuing my training as a Spiritual Herbalist and energy worker.
2024
The Decision and Commitment
After a few years of consulting, I decided that this was the end of an era and that 2025 would be the start of a new chapter for my business. I could no longer hide the misalignment with my work. Although I was experiencing immense burnout from consulting, I completed my Spiritual Herbalism apprenticeship and launched my healing business and my first line of herbal products.
2020
My Own Illumination
The pandemic hit, and I spent time getting deeper into my study of myself. It was during this time that I became an expert on my own natal chart, my strengths and talents and what I was truly passionate about. I found that these themes were showing up in my life long before I was conscious of them. The lesson in this phase was to trust in my knowing, and follow the nudges.
2013
The First Foray
I was fresh out of undergrad and ready for the workforce! I landed a job at a start-up health insurance company. It was here that I got my first taste of what it felt like to work in a business from the ground up, including building the structures and systems to sustain the operation.
2017
Forced to Shift
In 2017, I got a taste of what it felt like when a vision is halted abruptly. After the start-up became insolvent, I was laid off. I found the silver lining in this quickly: I created new routines for myself, and got into the best shape of my life while searching for my next, new full-time position. I landed a new job doing the same work, but with more responsibility and $40,000 more in salary! This was also the year that I started traveling for work and discovered that I loved it.
